Abstract

The global pandemic of COVID-19 has imposed concrete measures of behavior in the social relations of the communities of all countries. Standards of action directly related to civility as a regulation of behavior in society.

Throughout history, the term urbanity has experienced openings of meaning due to social, political and even health causes.

This article analyzes the catalysts for the evolution of the concept of urbanity in the different ages of history, as well as their identifying characteristics in each one of them.

In short, this article highlights how changes in society cause changes in the concept of civility, that is, there is a cause-effect relationship.
