Abstract

Audio evolution in recent years is a challenge for the teaching-learning process in communication faculties. It requires an adaptation, not only of the contents; but, also of the practices that make it possible to achieve expected sound skills in communication degrees.

Service-Learning experience that is exposed aims: to bring students closer to the sound scenario and facilitate a space for social commitment.

The Service-Learning experience that is exposed aims to bring students closer to the sound scene and facilitate a space for social commitment to work for rigorous communication. The students elaborated sound pieces, with a common theme: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Students achieved the knowledge and skills of the subject during the project, as well as other transversal ones: planning, informative rigor, empathy, and social commitment. In the same way, the students were approached to the risks of alcohol consumption (at ages with high consumption), giving, at the same time visibility to this disability that is 100% avoidable.
