Abstract

The following research, part of the topics of the research group and USABLE projection hotbed of the University of Caldas, delves into Human-Computer interaction variables through facial analysis in the older adult population of the city of Manizales – Colombia, in the use of web interfaces. The identification of criteria begins with the optimization of capture processes in the collection of information, data and samples, use of different methodological tools: data collection through observation in a controlled space, heuristics, verbal protocol, interview and the Face Rader.

It is possible to establish a theoretical corpus in cognitive psychology from emotion, seen as a response to cognitive, evaluative and physiological processes in the fulfillment of tasks, arriving at an evaluation model corresponding to the criteria of compliance, accessibility and sufficiency, developed in 6 stages. : definition of emotion, evaluation and analysis in digital skills, application of facial recognition technologies, registration and refinement of the Face Reader–Noldus software, evaluation of the interaction according to the 7 phases of Norman Action and interpretation of results, which are essential , since they affect the user experience and their behavior towards the interfaces.
